Itinerary

8-Day Tour

  • Day 1 – Fly to Jersey where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a seven-night stay, then onwards to your hotel for a seven night stay. Tonight begins with a welcome drink and introductory talk. Dinner
  • Day 2 – We visit the Jersey War Tunnels – an enormous tunnel complex built by the Germans as an artillery barracks but converted into a first aid field bunker as an emergency stand-by in 1943. It is now an excellent museum telling the complete story, through interactive displays, of the Occupation. We have an included lunch stop at the St. Brelades Bay Hotel, a home to German Soldiers during the occupation. Continue this afternoon with a tour of St Brelades Bay with Jersey’s foremost military historian and acclaimed writer, Ian Ronayne. English Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Day 3 – Free for you to relax and do as you please. English Breakfast, Dinner
  • Day 4 – Guided by Ian Ronayne, we spend the day visiting a number of WWII locations, some not normally opened to the general public. We head out to the coast for a guided tour of the Noirmont Point Command Bunker, see the German fortifications at Corbiere, the Channel Islands Military Museum and Moltke Battery at Les Landes.   • Day 5 – Join the commemorations that take place today as Jersey celebrates 72 years since it was liberated from German occupation. Full details of the activities taking place will be updated on our website. Breakfast, Dinner
  • Day 5 – We head to the People’s Park in St. Helier where there will be a static display of helicopters. This afternoon, enjoy the spectacular Battle of Britain Air Display which takes place over St. Aubin’s Bay with the dramatic backdrop of Elizabeth Castle. Breakfast, Dinner
  • Day 6 – A morning guided ‘Occupation Walk’ around St. Helier, taking in all the many historic sites, memorials and monuments. We end at the awardwinning Maritime Museum in St. Helier and the Occupation Tapestry Gallery where a guide will be on hand to talk about life during the Occupation. Free afternoon.   • Day 7 – Free day to relax. English Breakfast, Dinner
  • Day 8 – Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the U.K. Breakfast
